Performance Opportunities
At The AERO Space, we offer several opportunities throughout the year for students to perform, challenge themselves, and showcase their creativity on stage.
Studio Showcases
Our Student Showcases are held at our Northeast Portland studio each year in early March (1st Saturday) and late September (3rd Saturday) These performances are open to students of all levels and are a fun, supportive way to gain performance experience and share your progress with friends, family, and the AERO community.
Our next Studio Showcase is Saturday, March 6th at 7pm (doors at 6pm). Participants must register at least 30 days in advance.
Alberta Showcase
Our Fall Alberta Showcase takes place each October or November at the Alberta Rose Theatre. This professionally produced performance opportunity is open to students Level 3 and above. Performer applications and piece requests are typically accepted beginning in June through mid July.
We are excited to announce MTV POLE Fall Showcase at Alberta Rose, Sunday, November 15th at 6pm (doors at 5pm). Applications must be in no later than July 15th. Tickets are on sale now for MTV Pole Jams – A Pole Tribute to the Music Video Era.
Pole Show PDX (PSPDX)
Pole Show PDX is our largest annual production and takes place each spring at the Alberta Rose Theatre. This fully themed theatrical production is open to students Level 4 and above through an audition and application process.
Please check back on this page a few months before each event for application details, deadlines, and additional information.
PSPDX will take place at Alberta Rose May 21-23, 2027.
It’s getting to be that time again! We have our dates and our show theme - now we need a cast!
We’re looking for team players who are excited to participate in multiple parts of the show (full pieces, bumpers, etc.), willing to jump in where needed, aren’t afraid of over-the-top costumes and makeup, and are ready to help us promote another SOLD-OUT PSPDX!
To keep the production manageable and better compensate performers for their time and hard work, we’re limiting the performing cast to approximately 28–30 people and crew to 12. With ~20 staff members, this will leave limited spots for students, so casting will be selective.
